Author Video Instructions

IJCNN 2021 will be virtual and this year, we have opted for a format where each contributed presentation will take the form of an online 15-minute pre-recorded video, which will be available on the virtual platform. We ask that you prepare a pre-recorded video presentation, as well as being prepared and available for yourscheduled live presentation and the time following, in order to answer questions posed by session chairs and attendees.

While your specific presentation time is not yet finalized, we request that you prepare and upload a video in advance, composed of a brief introduction with webcam (if desired) followed by voice over slides for your presentation. Please note that the file must be a video file in MP4 format (more details below). PDF and PowerPoint files are acceptable in addition to your MP4 video, but please do not submit a PDF or PowerPoint in place of an MP4 video file.

Our recommended approach to record a compatible video (from content displayed on your computer screen, and voice recorded via the computer microphone) is to record the presentation using Zoom, available to users on most platforms and in most countries.

Instructions for recording your presentation with Zoom:
There are several video conferencing tools available to easily record a presentation.  In this method, you can show your face via webcam (if you’d like) and display your slides as you talk. You can use any meeting software as long as you get a good quality recording and your final file is in the MP4 format. Here are some links to instructions on recording a meeting on common platforms:

You can also use the two-step method covered below:

Create Voice Over Power point and convert to MP4

PLEASE NOTE: Although ALL authors received this email, only one author should submit the data below. This will be the presenter for the paper. Please communicate with your co-authors to designate the presenter and ensure that individual submits by the required deadline.

Guidelines for preparing your video:
Duration: 15 minutes
File size: 500 MB (maximum)
Video file format: .mp4
Dimensions: Minimum height 720 pixels, aspect ratio: 16:9
Please note the final specifications will be checked at the time of submission and files not compliant may not be uploaded.
Please be sure the video includes the title of the paper, the authors, and a mention to IJCNN 2021.

Uploading your video (Deadline: 28th May)

If you require additional guidance with recording your presentation, please contact Leah at [email protected] for assistance.

As a reminder, videos that are not received by the deadline will be considered no-shows in accordance with the non-presented paper policy.

We hope to make IJCNN 2021 a success despite this year’s situation, and we are excited to introduce you to this virtual conference format! We thank you for your cooperation in this endeavor.
